Del Mar

Race 5

No. 7 STANWYCK: Took a shot on this filly at 20-1, but she broke well behind this field. Once in gear she unleashed a huge late run just storming by the girls in front of her. Finished a clear second by more than three lengths. She may want to go long so we will keep an eye out for her. May be pointing to Del Mar.

Race 7

No. 2 SUGGESTIVE BOY: The word was out on this Argentine invader that he was a real runner. Ran bigtime here in the Grade 1 Shoemaker, finished a bangup second while stalking the entire trip coming between horses late. We will take a shot with him next time out.

Race 8

No. 2 DR. NIP: Was exiting our HTW list in this mile turf race. Broke slow and then got squeezed right out of the race to lose all chance. He has some talent so with a clear trip and maybe a drop back in distance he will get the win next time out at a price. $$$$$

No. 4 BEV N BUD: Angled in at the start and stalked down on the rail, but lacked room and had to steady hard off heels leaving the turn. He finally got through on the inside and continued with good energy to finish second some six lengths clear of the rest.
