Del Mar

Race 1

No. 1 DRY SUMMER: First-time starter was on the outside and then jockey Joe Talamo took a chance and moved down on the rail. He got stuck and lacked racing room inside until the sixteenth pole. Once clear he could not finish and settled for fourth in what was a better than looked effort. Next time out he will get the money.$$$

Race 9

No. 9 MAHOGANY RIDGE: First time starter was very game breaking his maiden for this 20k price tag. He showed good early speed but lost his position at the quarter pole. Came on when roused in the stretch and got up late for the win. He was claimed for the 20k by Peter Miller and could turn out to be a good pick up.
