No. 2 LITE THAT BABY UP: First time starter for trainer Vladimir Cerin took some action in this 1 1/8 route. Cerin pulled one off like this a week before so this one was not going to get away from the smart bettors. He ran big despite losing some ground in a four wide run into the final turn. Kept to his task and ran a very game third. Look for Cerin to strike with this guy very soon.
No. 9 SWISS EMPEROR: A 20K claimer who is usually on the front end. Could not get the lead, but tracked in second and got to the front turning for home. Just failed to last, being one of the three heads on the line at 17-1. If able to clear early in his next start, he will be gone.
No. 1 CIAO BELLA LUNA: First time starter out of the Dennis Patterson barn was bet like a winner. She was listed at 8-1 on the morning line, but the money kept rolling in and was sent off at 7-2 at post time. Won like odds on. This filly can flat out run and will come right back to score, single material. $$$$$
