Santa Anita

Race 6

No. 1 BROKER BRETT: has been off since February and showed little early speed in this 6 furlong turf sprint. Once in gear he came wide into the turn and blasted down the lane just missing by a neck. Will be hard to beat next time out going down the hill at Santa Anita with Tyler Baze riding.

Race 7

No. 6 EBLOUISSANTE: The little sister of the great Zenyatta had been heralded as something special in her own right. She ran like a stakes horse, just cruising home to win by more than four lengths under a Cory Nakatani hand ride. We will look for her to be taking on stakes company next time out.

Richard Saber, a former director of race and sports at the famed Stardust book, is GamingToday’s horse racing and sports handicapper. Contact Richard at [email protected].
