Race 1

No.6 Time to Doubledown: Did not break well from his inside post, got in tight on the turn and had to check. He had to swing out five wide into the stretch and made one big moving coming from next to last. Picked up the show dough in a big time effort. $$$

Race 5

No.8 Ain: Carla Gaines comebacker was really far back in this mile turf race, but unleashed a huge late run turning for home. Came from last to fourth and just missed by the whole thing by a length. This race did this guy a world of good and will be the play next time out going long on the grass.

Race 6

No.2 Rossi Reserve: If you made a bet on this filly you really got it put to you by the all knowing Santa Anita stewards. Her number should have been put up as she was taken out by the winner down the lane. After a review that we all at the book agreed she was going up, they did nothing except make the lame decision that it did not cost her the race. The stewards who must like trainer Dan Blacker (the new young hubby of Christine Blacker the race analyst) again made a political decision not in the best interest of this struggling game. Just a few days later they took down a horse ridden by Garrett Gomez for a lesser infraction than what happened in this race.
