Hollywood Park

Race 4

No. 5 MANGITA: Old school trainer Bruce Headley put four straight 7 furlong workouts into this first time starter for this race for 30k maiden claimers. She chased between horses, then moved to the outside into the turn. Got the lead in midstretch and slowly pulled clear at almost 8/1. Nice job by Headley.

Golden Gate

Race 5

No. 5 TRICKY SHANE: Shipped in for Doug O’Neill looking for a grass race but was instead run on the synthetic surface. He left him in the race and wound up winning going away. This gelding may have found a home here and we will be all over him next time out probably in a starter allowance race turf or main. $$$$$
