Race 3

No. 4 LUCAYAN: Classy import for trainer Neil Drysdale ran his race in his first start in the States finishing second behind the lone speed in the American Handicap. This one is a real runner and will be very hard to beat if he finds some pace to run at next time out. $$$$$

Race 4

No. 3 HERE’S TO ROSE: Had no shot at the runaway winner in this 50k maiden claimer, but gamed it out in her own race to finish a very good second. She was claimed for the 50k and appears to be well worth the big number. $$$$$

Race 10

No. 9 BROWN BOSS: Was coming off the layoff for trainer Hess and took all the money in this 20k maiden claimer going off at 3-2. He ran his race, but could not overtake the 22-1 shot winner who got the jump on him down the lane. Bess should get the job done next time out.
