DEL MAR

RACE 7

NO. 2 SOLID WAGER: Took a good shot with this colt in the Hollywood Juvenile when let go at almost 7/1. He really wanted to run and was pulling jockey (Edwin) Maldonado out of the saddle. Had to be steadied hard off heels five eighths out then came out for room into the turn. Made a big four wide run into the stretch finishing fast while outside the top three. Lost by a half-length for the win and a head for second and third while almost 8 lengths clear of the rest. $$$$$

Race 8

No. 3 HUERA BONITA: Post 14 really did this filly in when coming off the layoff. She did make a wide run when trying to get into the race, but tired late when she could not keep her rally going. Finished a much better than looked sixth in the 14 horse field. Long shot special next time out.
