Race 5

No. 6 AOTEAROA: Was running in the last leg of the players pick five and was listed at 20/1 on the morning line. This first time starter had just so so works and a trainer who was 0-15 with first time starters and 0-5 with 2yo. Was bet down to 5/1 and won like a 1/5 shot. Info is a good thing in horse racing if you can get it. This one looked great on the track and ran to his looks. Could come right back and win again on the big move up.

Race 6

No. 1 CLENOR: When they know at the spa they know. And the money knew with this filly in from Ireland for trainer Doug O’Neill as the greens kept rolling in sending her off at odds on. She won for fun drawing away like she wanted to keep running. Look for big stuff for this filly in upcoming stakes races.

Race 11

No. 7 ARTIC NORTH: Maiden was making his second lifetime start going 1-1/16 on the grass after an even effort going that same distance on the cushion surface at Hollywood. He took plenty of cash going off at 4-1 but got bumped early and then was wide the entire trip. Had nothing to offer late, but we will give this one another shot.
