Race 1

No. 4 MISS FAST EDDIE: First time starter out of the barn of Doug O’Neill took some action. Could not run down the lone speed in here, but was slowly gaining at the wire. This filly will love the Santa Anita dirt course and will be hard to beat next time out.

RUSHOMATIC: Sadler don’t send out many here at Fairplex, but he sent this 2yo filly first time starter out well with Ricardo Jamie in the irons. She ran big but was another who could not run down the lone speed. Finished a clear second some 5 lengths in front of the rest. $$$

Race 4

No. 4 GRAZENETTE: First time starter for trainer Mike Mitchell broke slow down on the inside. She settled nicely in this 5 ½ furlong 50k maiden sprint and looked ready to make her run. Came out for the drive and ran on with good energy picking up the show money. This filly ran like she wants longer, so if she gets 6 furlongs or more next time out we will be  digging deep and heading to the betting windows. $$$$$

Race 7

No. 4 MISS LAFAYETTE: Nakatani made the trip here to ride this maiden trained by Craig Dollase. This was his only mount of the day so there was a reason. This filly won for fun and will be on her when she returns going long on the grass. $$$$$
