No. 7 GOLD TIE PLEASE: Was coming off a solid second in his last start at Santa Anita back on Nov. 3. He took plenty of action in this race but really never got into it and finished far back in a non-effort. He will appreciate the return to the Santa Anita dirt plus get a new barn and jock off the claim. We see a big wake up next time out.
No. 2 TIZ A MINISTER: Just loved the 11/1 on this horse, but as horse players luck would have it he broke tardily and dropped to the inside. With no room and ready to rally he swung out and came five wide crossing the dirt. Made a furious late run but could only get up for the show dough. $$$$$
