Race 3

No. 6 MAGIC NUMBER: Made a nice late run in this 6 furlong sprint for $12,500 claimers and was picked up by trainer Vann Belvoir who can score with runners first off the claim. He sometimes wheels them back at the Gate so we will see where he spots this one.

Race 4

No. 4 ROOKIE SENSATION: Was best in here going 1 1/8 on the grass and at 3/1 it was time to take a big shot but the 8/1 winner got the easy trip on the front end with no pressure. Rookie Sensation, who was making his winning move on the inside, had to take up when closed off. Once clear he came home like rookie of the year to just miss by a dwindling head. $$$$$
