Race 2

No. 5 UNCLE LUCK: First time starter for trainer Art Sherman, who is having a great meet. He broke slow, then was steadied hard and fell back to last. He came out turning for home and launched a good late run to pick up the show dough. Will be a must use next time out.

Race 10

No. 8 PATRIOTS RULE: Sprinter was doing two things in this race that he never did before – go long and go long on the grass. Was let go in the betting and got off at 19-1. Looked to be completely out of the race when squeezed off at the start. Was far back but launched a determined run down the lane and got up to draw away late. Won by more than a length in what was a big time effort. He could come back and repeat at what will be another good price.Race 11

No. 11 JOVITA’S TUFFY: Had the tough 1 post in this 6 furlong sprint. He chased inside but got off the rail leaving the backstretch. Came out into the lane and made a big five wide run down the stretch, picking up the place money behind the 7/5 winner. This one has some run and looks solid off the Ron Ellis claim next time out.
