Horses to Watch Alert

at Del Mar

Race 1 No. 4 BAUBLE QUEEN: This 3yo filly was well bet in her first two races at Santa Anita running a nice second in her initial start. Never got into the race in second as the 2-1 chalk back in January. She broke slow but quickly got into a good position and made a quick three wide run. Just freaked as she drew away while under a long hold by the jockey. This filly has some talent and could come right back and score.

Race 3 No.5 LITTLE UNUSUAL: First time starter had the Barry Abrams turf breeding of Unusual Heat/Nureyev along with some good works and Chantal Sutherland coming into this 6 furlong turf sprint. I jumped in big time at 14-1. She was ready to roll, but got blocked in midstretch. Chantal had to take back and switch to the outside. Split horses, but lost her whip in the process and did well to finish fourth. Can run and will be a good play at a nice price next time out. $$$

Race 7 No. 8 OILISBLACKGOLD: Ran a winning race off the layoff but could not run down the lone speed in this 1 1/16 route. This 4yo gelding has some talent and is a must use in the exotics next time out which could happen at the Del Mar meet that starts July 20.
