SANTA ANITA
RACE 3
NO. 8 PIONEER CHARLIE: Was slammed sideways at the start. Once straight he tucked behind the leading pack and joined the pace from between horses. Got to the front but could not hold off the .70 cents on the dollar favorite. Did finish a clear second, showing that he like the dirt. Will be a solid single next time out.
RACE 6
NO. 5 ONE LUCKY DANE: Baffert maiden ran a winning race but just could not out game the Mark Casse first time starter who came back on to beat him at the wire. This one will be a solid single next time out. $$$$$
RACE 10
NO. 1 PRESSURE TIME: Really liked this one in here especially when let go at 6/1. Was in a good stalking position while between horses but lacked room off heels leaving the turn and had to take up. Going good late to finish fourth but would have been much closer without the trouble. He now moves to the Hess barn, look for the quick return and the win.
