NO. 1 THE TWELFTH MAN: First time starter was 6/1 on the morning line but took plenty of action and was sent off at 3/1 at post time. He was up along the rail and dueled for the front end,cleared turning for home but was caught late by the 9/5 chalk. We will see him in the winner’s circle next out at Santa Anita.


NO. 3 NIASSA: Really wanted to be let loose in this 6½ furlong sprint for maiden fillies when breaking from her rail post. She was just pulling Tyler Baze out of his irons but he took hold, got shuffled back and that cost her any shot. We look for a big run from her next out with an outside post.
