NO. 3 DAKOTA KID: First time starter lost all shot at the start of this race as she hesitated and began dead last. She looked hopelessly beat, but made a big late run to finish a clear third. May go long next time out and we will be firing a big shot. $$$$$
NO. 2 BLUEGRASS REWARD: Settled down on the inside in this mile race but got in tight, forced to check hard past the half-mile marker and was shuffled back. He then rallied down the rail and got up for the place money in a big effort.
NO. 1 CONSCIENCE: Was coming into this 6 furlong optional claimer with a sparkling work pattern. He ran his race but just could not run down the lone speed on this speed-favoring Los Al oval. He will be very hard to beat next out at Santa Anita and could be set to go long.
