SANTA ANITA
RACE 5
NO. 2 APOLLO TEN: Came into this $50k mile route with a sparkling work over the track. He had the misfortune of rain but still ran huge despite breaking in the air and very slow. Saved ground on this wet, fast, sealed track and ran on huge once clear, finishing third. Missed the place by a neck and the win by a dwindling half length. $$$$$
RACE 6
NO. 6 YOUNG AND HUNGRY: First time starter with the connections of Gary Stevens riding for his buddy Tom Proctor just missed by a dwindling head at 7/1. No mistakes next time on the grass. $$$
