DEL MAR

RACE 1

NO. 2 SKELTON PASS: First timer for Carla Gaines was completely overlooked in the betting, being sent off at 16/1 He wins any other day but the live Gulfstream Park Richard Baltas comebacker ran huge. Finished second more than five lengths clear of the rest and will get his next start off the John Sadler $62,500 claim.

RACE 4

NO. 1 TURNOVER: Was steadied when in tight and between horses, then had to make a five wide run. By that time this race was over on this sloppy track. We will give this one a big shot next out.

RACE 6

NO. 3 POSHSKY: Took to the dirt like a duck to water and just crushed this field of $25k maiden claimer by almost 10 lengths going off at 20/1. Trainer Donald Warren must have been in shock watching this colt storm home down the lane looking like a miniature Secretariat. With this win under his belt look for him to come right back on the Santa Anita dirt and run big again.

RACE 10

NO. 8 ROY H: Another that was most likely best going this five furlong turf distance. Was bumped, steadied and squeezed back to last. Looked hopelessly beat but made a huge rail rally to just miss on the line in what was a big wow effort. $$$$$
