NO.5 TEXAS RYANO: Was squeezed at the start but settled nicely while down on the inside. He came out leaving the second turn to make his run and cruised on home to an easy win. This one is looking very good for Carla Gaines and seems on his way to stakes or handicap company next time out.

AND NO.9 KULIK LODGE: Took a shot with this one at almost 40-1. He stalked the pace but when it looked like he was ready to make his move he had to wait for room leaving the second turn and was boxed in behind horses in midstretch. Once clear he just missed the show dough by a head and the win by a length and a half. Could pop next out.

NO.1 POSHSKY: Was exiting our HTW list and got off at more than 9/1. He looked all the winner down the stretch but was caught late by the 3/2 (as Ralph Siraco calls the filthy chalk). We will keep him on our list as he is in top form and is a must use.

NO.4 SUGAR BUZZ: First time starter took plenty of action and ran a better-than-looked fourth more than seven lengths clear of the rest in this 10 horse field. Doug O’Neill will have this horse ready to win next out.
