NO. 3 LETS MEET IN RIO: Baffert first time starter broke very slow in this 6 furlong sprint. He was down on the inside but came out for the stretch run and was gaining ground late, finishing a better-than-looked fifth. He ran like a router so let’s see if he goes long next time out. If so we will be heading to the windows.

NO. 5 ALL RUN: Just freaked in this 6½ furlong dirt sprint when exploding down the lane to win going away by almost eight lengths while under a long hold. We would love to see this gelding going down the hill next time out.

NO. 8 MELATONIN: Was getting a move up in class by trainer David Hofmans and the bettors let him go off at 28/1 in this downhill turf sprint. He ran a winning race but had the rider lose his whip in midstretch and was five wide down the lane losing several positions. This one loved the course and gets the win with a better trip next time out.
