SANTA ANITA
RACE 4
NO. 5 LORI’S ATTITUDE: First time starter was sent down the hill and faced some tough 3yo fillies. Showed good early speed chasing the front runner and was gaining at the end. Will be very tough to beat next out. Carla Gaines looks to have a nice prospect in this filly.
NO. 8 MYSTERIOUS MIRACLE: This filly was working just great for D’Amato coming into this downhill turf sprint. She took action but had to settle for second better than three lengths clear of the rest in this 10 horse field. Ran like she will love going a mile on the grass and that is the spot we will be betting. $$$$$
RACE 9
NO. 11 LARRY BIRDSTONE: Was sitting in a perfect spot in this 1-1/16 route on the dirt but the jock did not seem to want the inside and took back to lose position. He went to the outside and came running again late to finish a fast-closing third. Missed the place by a half-length and the win by a length. No mistakes next time out.
