SANTA ANITA
RACE 6
NO. 4 LEVELER: Took a shot with this Phil D’Amato first time starter that was completely overlooked in the betting going off at 35-1. She broke out from the 1 post but then saved ground stalking the pace. Was taken out leaving the turn and into the stretch. Ran good down the lane to be a clear second, paying $24 to place. We will not see 35-1 next time but do believe the price will be right.
RACE 8
NO. 10 SUMMER WINE: Love the name of this filly and we will be looking for her next time out. She was coming off a layoff but broke sharp from post 10 in this downhill turf sprint. Had a wide trip into the stretch and upper stretch but ran on strong to be a clear second. We love her chances with this race under her belt. $$$$$
