DEL MAR
RACE 1
NO. 7 BIG JOHN B
Was in from Churchill Downs and landed in the barn of Philip D’Amato who took over training for Mike Mitchell, now his assistant. This gelding won easy and looks to have a big future here in marathon races.
RACE 4
NO. 6 RED N BLACK ATTACK
Was making his first start as a gelding and ran to the ultimate equipment change, winning by more than 4 lengths going away. He was claimed for the $25k by Vann Belvoir, who can strike first off the claim as this gelding’s mind is now on running.
RACE 7
NO. 1 ATTA’ BOY WOODY
Put in a big WOW performance in this 5 furlong sprint for 2yo as he won like a good thing at 7/5 by almost eight lengths. This one is moving on up as Jerry Hollendorfer looks to have a big time prospect.
