Santa Anita

Race 2 No. 3 SHEDIAK: Was exiting our HTW list. He broke slow but settled down on the inside. Had to check off heels into the second turn and wait behind horses into the stretch when ready to roll. A handful for jockey Pat Valenzuela, but once he found room the horse stormed to the front and won going away at almost 24-1 paying $49.80. We will keep this gelding on our list. He’s in top form.

Golden Gate

Race 3 No. 3 O MARY: First time starter ran huge when closing with ever stride on the odds on .40 cents on the dollar winner losing by a half length at 13-1. No. price like this next time out, but she will be in the winner’s circle.

Race 7 No. 5 ARRIVEDERCI CARO: Looked good winning this 1 1/16 turf route despite having to go five wide. She looks like a repeater.
