Race 2 No. 6 TWIN SIX: First time starter for trainer Carla Gaines was steadied hard in an awkward start and stood tenth in this 11 horse field until the top of the lane. Found his best stride late to finish a fast closing fifth. This guy is a runner and could pop at a nice price next time out going long on the grass. Long shot special. $$$

Race 7 No. 1 THINKING OF GIRLS: Almost popped at 49-1 out of the one hole in this 6½ furlong 40k claimer, but he got nailed on the line. Was a clear second and in top form. Could come right back at a big price here at Holly Park.

Race 8 No. 5 SMART SPENDING: This lightly raced 4yo gelding trained by Carla Gaines had won two of his three starts and was last seen winning here in February. Was let go at 7-1 and broke dead last. Made up ground on the inside in this 7 furlong race, but jockey Espinoza steadied him when running up heels leaving the turn and that cost him the race. Came on with a strong late run finishing third beaten a neck.

Race 10 No. 11 SEEK THE LIGHT: Was in from Monmouth Park for trainer Peter Eurton and was bet down to even money. Ran his race, but had no shot at running down the winner who stole away to an easy lead. If able to find some pace next time out he will win. Looks like a good single.

Race 10 No. 13 ONEBADBOY: Ran a winning race in this 20k maiden claimer, but could not catch the 6-5 chalk on the line. Was more than four-lengths clear of the rest and looks like a next out winner.
