Hollywood Park

Race 2 No. 7 OUR BOY BENJAMIN: Ran behind Unusual Heatwave when finishing a better than looked fourth at 17-1. Finished up willingly and looks like a good price play next time out for trainer John Martin. $$$

Race 5 No. 12 SPIRIT RULES: Paul Aguirre first time starter was squeezed between horses at the start and that usually means doom for a first time 2yo. He got to the outside and made a big time late run just missing by the bob on the line more than two lengths clear of the rest in this 11 horse field. This 2yo will be a solid play next time out. $$$$$

Golden Gate Fields

Race 1 No. 1 DOVER CROSSING: Maiden taking her first shot at going long. Her first on the grass in this mile turf race exploded down the lane in an eye catching move. Won going away despite being caught in heavy traffic on the second turn and having to wait for room. Has the looks of a filly that has found her home on the grass.

Race 7 No. 8 RATHSALLAGH BRIDE: Was blocked and had to be checked hard at the turn. Found room on the outside and then shot through traffic. Ran them all down in what was a big time win.
