Race 2 No. 5 HAVA CIGAR: Was down on the inside and had a good stalking position but got shuffled back when caught between horses. Moved to the outside and made a nice late run. Has the looks of a next out winner.
Race 6 No. 6 HOPE AND BELIEVE: Was last seen running against The Factor back on Dec. 26 when he had a troubled trip. No trouble this time around as he was bet down to the 8-5 chalk and got the money against some very promising 3yo. We will keep an eagle eye on this horse and others that ran in this key race. Those include Cyclometer (a close second) a first time starter for Bruce Headley, High Test (third) who was caught down on the rail in midstretch, Jim’s Decision (fifth) who came from Gulfstream Park and Hy Hand Poker (the second choice). We will keep all of these on our list. Any of them could pop next time out.
