Santa Anita
Race 2
No 7 CROSSING THE LINE: In the past these 6½ furlong turf sprints going down the hill favored the outside horses, but at this meet the inside has been the place to be. CTL looked to have a big shot with Rosario riding from the 4 post. The horse breaking from the inside post shot to the front, took a six length lead and held off CTL by less than a length after being far back until the top of the stretch. With some pace to run at next time out this guy will be a winner.
No.9 MARK THE BENCH: Was back in town after a spell up North. Ran a real good race in finishing second, losing by a half a length after leading from the bell. Was claimed for 25k by Mike Mitchell who will have him perfectly spotted for the win next out at Santa Anita.
Golden Gate
Race 7 No. 1 CC’S DIAMOND: Ran a winning race in his first turf try, but just failed to hold after battling tooth and nail the entire mile. Next time he won’t get caught.
