No. 2 DIXIELAND BLUES: Was coming back after a year on the shelf for trainer Marty Jones who can pop with comebackers like this especially on the grass. This guy was going 6 furlongs on the Hollywood turf, showing good early speed as he tracked the front runner from the bell. Could not run him down but battled tooth and nail till the finish. Lost by ¾ of a length for the win and nosed on the line for the place money. A very good prep for the 6½ furlong downhill turf course here at Anita.
