DEL MAR
RACE 6
No. 12 PRIZE EXHIBIT: Talk about a horrible trip, this girl had just that. Jockey Mike Smith, whose win percentage is so low the Form doesn’t have room to put it in the paper, got her in traffic right off the bat when between horses. He then got her boxed in from upper stretch to midstretch when steadied hard. Finally got out to get up for second just a half-length behind the winner, who got a perfect Bejarano ride.
RACE 8
No. 1 GOLD RUSH DANCER
GOLD RUSH DANCER/TOUGH IT OUT: This is just one more case of horses exiting the same race, which was run July 27 with Gold Rush Dancer coming off a win last out when beating Tough It Out, who ran third. In this race Dancer was let go at 14-1 with at Tough 10-1. They finished 1-2 with the exacta paying $166.40 for two bucks. Look for these racers.
