RACE 6
NO. 3 MO’VETTE: This is one of my two key plays from last week as all three of these fillies were exiting the same race. Mo’Vette won going away, paying $24.40, with Ciao Bella Rosa finishing second at 6/1 and Tammy’s Window finishing third at 11/1. The $2 exacta paid $160.40, the $2 tri a nice $1,250. Keep a handicapping eye open for these same runners, especially in a maiden race like this one. We will keep all three on our watch list.
RACE 7
NO. 7 MANNERLY: These four were 1, 2, 3, 4 in this very tough maiden race with Tapped, a very promising Tapit filly, getting up for the nose win. Jilly finished a half-length in front of Bernina Star, who was 1½ ahead of Mannerly, who battled on the front end the entire race. Could be a nice key race; we will keep these 4 on our watch list.
RACE 8
NO. 3 OM: Was probably best in the BC turf sprint but broke in and was steadied hard at the start to be 14th in this field of 14. Jockey Gary Stevens then lost his whip a 16th out but OM surged late to miss by a nostril.
