RACE 5
NO. 5 ORIGINAL INTENT: Stumbled out of the gate to lose his best shot. He made a nice late run from the outside, storming home to just miss by a dwindling half a length. No mistakes next out going long on the dirt.
RACE 6
NO. 4 THE TULIP: Was in from Ireland for trainer Paddy Gallagher who does well with these Irish imports. This girl made a last-to-fourth big time move just blasting down the lane in this mile turf race. Look for her in the winner’s circle in the very near future.
RACE 8
NO. 3 TELL ME MORE: Had a horrible start when tossing her head to be next to last in this full field of 11. She saved ground and made a big late run to finish fast just missing by a half-length. Will be hard to beat next time out on the Santa Anita grass but we doubt if we will see anything close to the 20/1 she went off at in this race.
