DEL MAR

RACE 5

NO. 12 VELVET QUEEN: First-time starter for trainer Richard Baltas, blasted out of the gate and took them wire to wire while under a snug late hold. This 2-year-old filly looks to have a ton of upside.

RACE 7

NO. 1 CARIBOU CLUB: Closed fast going down the hill in what we think was a prep for longer. We would really like to see this trainer, Tom Proctor send this guy long next out with his go-to jockey Drayden Van Dyke getting back on for the ride.

RACE 9

NO. 3 HELEN’S TIGER: Was fanned six wide in this five-furlong turf sprint and just could not rally on. This was a good prep for a five-furlong turf sprint at Del Mar, a course that she loves. We hope to see her soon and after this race we could get a square price.
