DEL MAR

RACE 2

NO. 4 BLACKOUT: Gelding just blasted home in this downhill turf sprint at Santa Anita, winning by more than three lengths while under a hard hold by jockey Prat. This win will have him perfectly set up for the five-furlong turf course at Del Mar. He will be a great single in the picks.

RACE 6

NO. 1 TAKEO SQUARED: Lost his shot at the start in this mile turf race as he leaned back and bobbled and was dead last, he settled down on the inside as jockey Rafael Bejarano was saving some ground. He then made a big four-wide run into the stretch, ust missing the show dough by a dwindling half-length.
