Race 1

No. 4 AMEERAH B: First-time starter for trainer John Sadler was well bet vs. Holly Hundy who was exiting our HTW list. This filly broke slow and when it looked like she was ready to make a big run, but she got stuck in upper stretch and had to check off heels. She angled in and got through on the inside to surge late for the place money. A real nice effort.

Race 5

No. 3 TINY TINA: Was coming off the layoff for trainer Phil D’Amato and got off at 5-1 in this six-horse field of starter allowance runners. She made a nice late run to finish a clear second, almost three lengths clear of the rest and will be ready for the winners’ circle next out with this race under her belt.
