Santa Anita
RACE 1
NO.14 DOMESTIC VINTAGE (NOTE IS STUCK ON THE ALSO LIST).
DOMESTIC VINTAGE: Was six wide leaving the chute, four on the second turn and stayed that way into the stretch. Had to be steadied when crowded by the winner but still managed to get up for the place money. This filly is sitting on a monster effort. $$$$$
Race 4
No. 7 POTENTE ALBA: Looked all the winner down the lane as he opened up 1½ lengths in this 5½ furlong race but got caught late, losing by a head. Make no mistake, this one is sitting on the win next time out. He looks like a very good single.
Race 5
No. 8 Brandothebartender
HOT MARKET, ANATOLIAN HEAT, BRANDOTHEBARTENDER: All three were exiting the same race and finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th but the order of finish was a little different as Hot Market who was 3rd, won and paid $11.80 with Anatolian Heat in second at 5/1 and Brando third at odds-on with the $2 trifecta paying $104.40. Keep an eye out for these plays.
Race 7
No. 3 STORMY ROCIT: Sprinter was in from Woodbine and landed in the barn of Peter Miller, who went with jock N. Arroyo. He hopped in a very slow start going five furlongs on the grass and lost all shot. Did show some run in a sneaky good effort. This is one to keep an eye on next time out.
