FAIR GROUNDS

GOODPROFIT: Was probably best in this $50k optional claimer for 3-year-old fillies as she looked to be making a winning move when she lacked room behind horses passing the three-sixteenths marker. She was bumped hard multiple times, then steadied and altered course to the outside. Just missed the win by three-quarters of a length.

MIDNIGHT TEA TIME: Was breaking from the 12 post and after breaking sharp he got hung out to dry, racing six-wide into the stretch and battling on. He will get the cash next out with a better post for trainer Joe Sharp.

GOLDEN GATE

CHIEF BARBARA: Was coming off a little layoff in this $20k claimer for fillies and mares 4-years-old and up, made a big middle move but flattened out in the stretch and had to settle for the show money.

ILLAPAWNIE: First-time starter for trainer Blaine Wright was let go at 15-1 and made a big move when swinging out for room into the stretch, losing one position but storming home late to be a clear third while just missing the place and the win by a dwindling half a length.

GULFSTREAM PARK

MO GEE: Was making his move on the final turn in this mile turf race but lacked room and was taken up. He sat waiting for a spot to open up and blasted through and ran home to pick up the place money. He may have been best here. Was claimed by Linda Rice who will have him spotted for the win next out.
