LOS ALAMITOS TB

MINOSO: $16K claimer was going six furlongs. He sat stalking the pace till the half-mile pole when he came out and blasted to the front. He met a challenge and put that challenger away and powered away to win like he loved this track. We think he will come back before this short meet ends and repeat.

PIZZA CHARLIE: 2-year-old maiden first-time starter sat back in this 5 1/2-furlong sprint. He made a big four wide run into the stretch and came home fast to miss by a neck behind the 6-5 favorite. We would love to see this 2-year-old going six furlongs or longer next out.

TRUE MISCHIEF: Maiden $20K filly claimer was traveling a flat mile. She sat back stalking off the pace and made a nice four-wide run bursting around the far turn as she cruised to the front and powered away late to win by five lengths. We think she will be wheeled back before this meet ends a score right back.

SAVING SOPHIE: $16K filly was going 5 1/2 furlongs. We loved this filly in our daily race selections at gamingtoday.com. She did not disappoint, winning like she loves this track. She was brushed at the start but settled in fifth. She swung out at the top of the lane and just inhaled the lone speed to win going away. We would love to see her return before the meet ends.
