SANTA ANITA

K P ALL SYSTEMS GO: Just blasted home to win by six open lengths after bobbling at the start. He was dead last at the theree-quarters poll and came out leaving the second turn looking for room, once clear he moved like a freight train while five-wide and just cruised home while under a hold late as he had a lot left in the tank. He can move up and beat winners going long on the grass.

MADMAN: Was coming off the layoff for trainer Richard Baltas with some real nice works. He chased the pace while down on the inside, he then was moved to the outside for room and came home with a strong late run in this mile turf race as he just missed by a dwindling nostril on the line.

LETS GET WILD: Would have won on most days this 5½-furlong turf sprint but had the misfortune of running against Lofty who went wire to wire with no pressure, Lets Get Wild ran her own race in this 10-horse field as she kept running to the end finishing second, 10 lengths clear of the rest. She will be a solid single next out sprinting on the grass.

WINNING ELEMENT: Just ran a much better-than-looked third in this $50k claimer going a mile on the grass. He was moving up in class but had the misfortune of a slow start. He chased outside and came out again leaving the second turn, He ran on nicely to pick up the show money. We should get a good price next out at this level going long on the grass.

SAVING SOPHIE: Maiden filly just ran way too good in a losing effort as she finished second by a head after having to be steadied hard when in tight on the second turn. She swung out for room and stormed home to just miss. She is sitting on the maiden win and will be a solid single next out going long on the grass.
