SANTA ANITA
NEUTRINO: First-time starter for trainer John Sadler was going 5 1/2 furlongs on the grass in this $50K maiden claiming race. He took some serious early money and looked well meant. As luck would have it, he broke dead last and was far back with no shot. He did try to make a late run but his race was over. We will give him a big shot second out.
GALWALKSINTOABAR: First-time starter broke a step slow but was rushed up by jockey Drayden Van Dyke to battle for the lead while five wide. He surged to the lead and blasted away to win while under a tight hold by the jockey as this filly looked as though she could run all day.
ADORABLY SWEET: Filly was last seen winning at Del Mar last November. She had a bad trip here in this 6 1/2-furlong sprint as she looked loaded but had to be checked as she waited for room into the stretch. She split horses and bullied her way to grab the lead and hold on for a game win.
REAL GOOD DEAL: Was in from Golden Gate for trainer Leonard Powell and just ran super in this $12,500 6-furlong sprint for fillies and mares when finishing third in a three-horse photo. She ran too good to lose.
