UNITED/ COLOSI: As I have written in this column on many occasions, look for runners exiting the same race and these two were exiting the same last race. Both of them just blasted away from this field down the lane with United beating Colosi by a length and Colosi was a clear second, almost four lengths better than the rest. We like them both right back. By the way, the $2 exacta paid $631.
LEMOONA: Was coming off a little layoff for trainer Richard Baltas and this filly was sitting last in this 1 1/8 turf route after breaking slow. She swung five-wide into the stretch and made a dynamic last-to-first move to win going away by more than five lengths while under a snug hold by Joel Rosario, She will repeat.
DAWOOD: Was last seen running at Del Mar last November. He had a real tough trip in this $50k maiden claimer going a mile on the grass. After getting checked when the jockey got him in tight and then swinging him five-wide, he finished a much better-than-looked fifth. We will be on him next out with a jockey change.
LOSTINTRANZLATION: Just took a horrible beat in this mile turf race. He lead all the way only to lose by the slimmest of noses on the line. We will be singling next out.
KENTUCY DERBY WATCH
WIN WIN WIN: Just ran second in the Blue Grass Stakes and had a horrible trip but came flying late. He will be a must use in the trifectas and superfectas come Kentucky Derby day.
