QUICK: Was stuck down on the inside looking to save ground in this mile turf race. She looked to be loaded and ready to pounce on the frontrunners but had to wait and check off heels losing position. She then got in tight between runners in mid-stretch but surged late to get up for the place money.

MOON HALL MILLY: In this 5 1/2 furlong turf sprint she was squeezed and steadied hard at the start. She was taken to the inside saving ground and made a real nice late run to miss the place by less than a length in what was a big effort. We would love to see her going a mile on the grass next out.

DON’T BLAME JUDY: Was fractious in the gate and broke dead last. She came out for running room on the second turn and made a five-wide run down the lane to blast home missing the place by a nose.

EASTERN OCEAN: Was in tight between horses in the early going. The jockey got him in a good stalking position but had to steady when getting in close on the second turn. He bid once again along the inside but was in tight again past mid-stretch. Once clear, he continued on willingly to gain the place in what was a huge effort.
