Here is a look at our Hurricanes vs Stars predictions, odds, and props.

Hurricanes vs Stars Betting Overview

The total of 6.5 is playable either at -108 on the Over or -112 for the Under.

Carolina gets square odds of +100 as it seeks a sixth consecutive road victory.

Dallas can actually be played on the moneyline for the first time in a long time, with odds of -122 to win outright.

Dallas has a strong price of +190 on the puck line because most of its games end in a one-goal difference. Should that change here, backers will gain a substantial payday. Empty-net goal possibilities make a wager like this enticing.

Hurricanes vs Stars Betting Trends

Despite their lofty perch atop the Central Division of the Western Conference, the Stars have been victims of high betting expectations.

Dallas is 18-34 ATS, the burden of being heavily favored night after night. This was reflected in their last game, a 3-2 triumph against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.

Despite playing on the road, Dallas was -231 on the win line. The Stars did not pay well on the moneyline and failed to cover the puck line.

Gamblers have feasted on the Over with them, however. The Stars are 33-19 on the Over, with most of their games being placed at 6 or 6.5 on the totals.

The Stars’ last two home games resulted in overtime victories but at prices of -333 and -231.

Dallas is 5-2 in its last seven. All were decided by one goal. Taking the puck line on the Stars has been a hazardous trend and the moneyline doesn’t pay well. Thus, a game that could break that trend will pay very well.

Under bettors have been feasting, as five of the last six games have ended below the total.

There has never been a total posted under six goals in a Hurricanes game this season. This is quite unusual.

Carolina is 21-30 ATS and the Over is 25-26

Carolina seeks a sixth consecutive road victory. The ‘Canes haven’t lost on the road since a 2-1 setback to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Dec. 21. They are a perfect 5-0 on the road in 2024.

They come off a productive homestand of 4-1.

Recent play has been marked by superlative goaltending. Carolina has outscored opponents 17-10 in its last six games, yielding just 1.67 GAA per game. This is vintage Hurricanes hockey. They have been at their best in low-scoring, tight-checking games.

Pyotr Kochetkov was a rock in goal, stopping all 34 shots in Carolina’s 1-0 overtime triumph over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.

He is 13-8-3 in 26 games with a 2.50 GAA and a .903 save percentage.

Sebastian Aho tallied the game-winner.

Hurricanes vs Stars Prediction

Dallas -122 ML (Best Live Odds: ). The Stars are finally able to reward bettors on the price line for simply winning a game.

Small second wager: Dallas -1.5 (+190). Dallas can’t be involved in one-goal games forever. Carolina can’t win on the road forever. This is a sweet price if Dallas can play a tight game and perhaps sneak in the empty-netter.
