The Texas Tina slot, an updated version of Texas Tea, takes us on a journey to the Lone Star state with fun-loving Tina and her oil rich husband Ted.
IGT’s Texas Tina slot has 20 lines with a 10x max coin bet. I play all 20 lines at 2x or 3x (40¢ or 60¢) per line.
This slot is played with all picture symbols: Texas Ted, his wife Tina, their pet armadillo and a Jack rabbit, or maybe we should call her Jill rabbit, who seems to have a crush on the armadillo. There’s also Ted’s trusty steed, Texas’ famous yellow roses, Tina’s diamonds and high heeled boots with the three bonus symbols and Ted’s Texas brand wild symbol. No fruit, numbers or letters, which is an immediate plus in my book.
Three or more Family Portrait symbols landing in any position initiates this bonus. During the bonus you choose a family portrait on the screen, which reveals a credit value.
The Strike it Rich bonus begins when symbols land in the same position on reels 3, 4 and 5. The symbol turns into a pumping oil derrick and reveals a win between two and 25 times the total bet.
The Texas Tornado Super Scatter bonus is initiated when three or more Texas Tornado symbols land on a pay-line. Five Texas Tornado symbols wins the player 250 credits as well as 15 scatter spins. If you get four symbols then you win 100 credits and 10 scatter spins. Three symbols will win 25 credits and three scatter spins. Additional free scatter spins can be awarded during the free spin round and are added to the spin meter. The Family Portrait Bonus and Strike It Rich Bonus can also be triggered as sub-bonuses during the Texas Tornado Bonus.
I got five tornado symbols during my 15 free spins and managed to retrigger two more times for an additional 10 spins. I won a total of $42.54 on the bonus and cashed out with $58.
This game pays fairly often and bonuses hit pretty regularly, but it can take a while to get the tornado bonus. However, when it hits the payoff is good, especially if you manage to get one of the other bonuses during your free spins.
