This week I went to Summerlin and got to try a new restaurant.
Jade Asian Kitchen & Noodles, which is located inside the Rampart Casino at 221 N. Rampart Blvd., offers something for everyone. Whether you are in the mood for traditional Chinese food, or craving fresh sushi, or feel like Teppanyaki, Jade offers that as well.
We started off with some appetizers as we ordered the Rock Shrimp Crunch which was crispy deep-fried shrimp with a spicy Thai aioli sauce. The shrimp was good but not as good as the other two appetizers we tried.
Jade also has a Robata Grill section on the menu, and we ordered the Kalbi BBQ Pork with soy sauce and the Lamb Chop with a Mint Jalapeno Sauce. Both were amazing but if push comes to shove, I would give the Lamb Chop the slight nod as my favorite. The lamb chop was cooked to perfection and the mint sauce was the perfect complement.
For dinner, we went with two entrees from the Chinese section of the menu. My buddy ordered General Tso’s Chicken and I went with the Wok Charred Filet Mignon.
The General Tso’s Chicken was good, but the star of the show was by far the Filet. It was so tender it just melted in your mouth and the sauce along with all the fresh vegetables made this dish so tasty.
I haven’t even mentioned that Jade also has a Ramen and Noodle section on the menu. Jade has eight different Ramen dishes along with six Rice and Noodle dishes. Two of the House specialties that I want to try on a future visit is the Steamed or Fried Whole Fish and the Lobster House Style. The Whole fish special is steamed in a Garlic Soy sauce while the Lobster special is stir fried in a Garlic ginger sauce.
The service was fantastic as the staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. In fact, our waiter even sent someone out to the casino to restock the restaurant bar that was out of my buddy’s favorite beer. The menu prices are very reasonable, especially for a casino restaurant. I give Jade Asian Kitchen & Noodles a rating of 3.75 Forks.
