Quarterback drama is standard during the NFL’s offseason, but in recent years has centered around Aaron Rodgers. But since his saga has quieted down, the big story has been the future of Lamar Jackson, leading to DraftKings offering Lamar Jackson next team odds.

He’s a 26-year-old former NFL MVP, but for some reason, the Ravens are not doing whatever it takes to lock him up. Their loss could easily turn into someone else’s gain. But whose?

DraftKings: Lamar Jackson Next Team Odds

As of Apr. 6, the top ten teams on DraftKings Lamar Jackson Next Team betting board are as follows:

  • Colts +225
  • Falcons +350
  • Commanders +650
  • Vikings +750
  • Patriots +850
  • Titans +1000
  • Buccaneers +1000
  • Lions +1200
  • 49ers +1500
  • Dolphins +2000

It is important to take note of how DraftKings has worded the market:

If Not BAL Ravens, For Which NFL Team Will Lamar Jackson Take His Next Regular Season Snap? [2023 NFL Season]

If the Ravens were an option, most bets would likely be placed on Jackson and the Ravens figuring things out to a point where he is willing to return to Baltimore. Doing so would be in the best interest of both parties.

While all 31 teams have odds, most can be quickly ruled out (anyone that has a quarterback on a second contract or rookie contract and anyone about to sign their QB to an extension). That could include Miami since Tua Tagovailoa is going into his fourth season with the Dolphins, but his injury history is concerning.

The 49ers have two solid options on the roster (Brock Purdy and Trey Lance); there is no reason to think they are even interested in Jackson. Atlanta and Washington have stated they have no interest in pursuing him and have a young quarterback on their roster they have publicly given their support.

Kirk Cousins has never been popular with the public, but he has been productive with the Vikings, and there is no reason to think they want to move on. That leaves the Colts, Patriots, Titans, Lions, and Buccaneers.

Lamar Jackson has made the Ravens relevant the last few years, but he wants out, and the team does not seem willing to meet his contract demands. DraftKings Lamar Jackson Next Team odds have the Colts as the favorite to acquire him. (AP Photo/Julio Cortez)

Betting Analysis

Tampa Bay is already dealing with salary cap issues and can’t afford to acquire Jackson. While Mac Jones had a sophomore slump last season, there has been no real sign that Bill Belichick is ready to give up on him. Yes, Lamar Jackson would be an upgrade for the Lions, but Detroit has not shown any interest.

Media speculation has driven the odds because no one has shown genuine interest in acquiring Lamar Jackson. Only one team has come close to expressing interest: the Indianapolis Colts. But stating that the team will do its “due diligence” does not mean they are ready to shell out the kind of cash it would take to sign Jackson.

Our Pick: If none of the above were an option, we’d say take it. With how this drama has played out in the media (and social media), it does not look like the Ravens are interested in bringing Jackson back anymore. Nor does it look like he is willing to return to them.

Since no one has made an offer yet, this is starting to look like a Le’Veon Bell-type situation. It will not be shocking if he sits out a year like Bell and becomes a free agent next year.

But if you want to bet on someone, take the Colts. Jim Irsay is the kind of guy willing to pay what Jackson wants if someone can convince him Jackson can take the Colts to the Super Bowl.
