The Rio has booked a return engagement with David Cassidy, Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at the box office.

Cassidy has had one of the most extraordinary careers in the entertainment business.

By coincidence, he wound up starring with stepmother Shirley Jones (ironically, his on-screen mother) in 1970 in “The Partridge Family.”

By age 21, Cassidy’s fan club was the most popular in the world, exceeding those of both the Beatles and Elvis Presley.

On “The Partridge Family” Cassidy was responsible for seven chart-topping singles, including “I Think I Love You,” 1971’s best-selling record.

Solo artist Cassidy had five hit singles, including “Cherish” and “Lying to Myself.”

In 1996, Cassidy moved to Las Vegas, where he starred in the MGM Grand’s “EFX,” performing to sold out audiences for over two years.

The year 1999, he partnered with writer-producer Don Reo to create the successful “The Rat Pack Is Back,” which played to sold out audiences at the Desert Inn, and is now ensconced at the Sahara.

Cassidy most recently starred in the semi-autobiographical show “David Cassidy At The Copa” at the Rio, with co-star Sheena Easton.
