While making my daily treks to the sports book here in Vegas on Tuesday, looking for some good lines on the two games, I just happened to stop into what at one time was my favorite place — Caesars Palace. I was just stunned to see that they had the Jets listed at 3/1 to win the Super Bowl.
I had just made a little bet on the Jets on the money line at 3/1 and that was just to beat the Colts. You could bet the Jets on the money line for $10, and if you win you could parlay it to the Super Bowl and get better than 10/1 or you could just take a little drive out to M Resort and get 10/1 on the Jets to win the Super Bowl.
Now if you are a book and don’t want anyone to bet, don’t put the line up or you could put up 5/1 on the Jets and just take half the money and go to “M” and you can’t lose. I guess most places just don’t want to gamble and some are in deep with the Jets but why look stupid? Just don’t look like a fool and say the betting is off or you can just take advantage of the tourists who really don’t know the difference. Putting up 3/1on the Jets to win the Super Bowl is a crime.
