We are thankful that this will be the last Saturday for sometime here at Los Alamitos as next Friday Santa Anita opens.

Race 1

Just another six horse field to start the day and the pick five. We will opt for a single here using No. 6 Jonny’s Choice who has won three times here at Los Al and comes here in top form. 6

Race 2

Post one is very tough at this 5-1/2 furlong distance but No. 1 Night Badger will take back and looks to have a big shot late at a fair price. No. 8 Misty’sviewthegold comes off a nice try here at this level and distance. 1-8

Race 3

D’Amato sends out first time starter No. 3 Nothin But a Smile. She is out of the dam Sunday Dress who has dropped 4 winners from 4 starters including a stakes winner. Stew Elliott gets the call and that says we can single. 3

Race 4

No. 4 She’s Complicated gets the big drop in this her second start for Baffert as he says, lets get the win and the dump and take our losses with this $77k purchase. No. 6 Immunity Idol gets off the grass and gets another drop in class. 4-6

Race 5

No. 3 Avicii comes off a nice win last out at Del Mar and fits here. No. 6 Pragmatical just broke her maiden last out at Del Mar and it’s a good sign that trainer Puype puts her in this claim proof starter race. No. 8 Spicy Blonde looks the speed. 3-6-8

Race 6

We get two runners in this six furlong straight maiden sprint that are exiting our HTW list. No. 6 Saldamente who gets off the grass and a turn back to a sprint. No. 7 Bernin Sensation who will be odds on as he just lost by a nostril last out at 3/2 first out of the box for the hot duo of Baffert/Elliott. 6-7

Race 7

No. 2 Jury won first out of the box last year and then was placed over his head in the Grade III Bob Hope, he comes back in a very good spot for Hollendorfer. No. 10 Tough Sunday has run here times and finished second all three. No. 11 Pedro Cerrano has won both of his starts. 2**-10-11

Race 8

The travel 1-1/8 in the Los Al Derby. No. 5 Semper Fortis won in his only start here and just missed last out by a half length when finishing second behind No. 7 Accelerate. Gary Stevens comes in to ride No. 8 Blackjackcat who gets off the grass and looks sneaky. 5-7-8

Race 9

Chantal Sutherland gets on No. 2 Regal Reign who will be a nice price play with her riding as she knows how to ride this course. Chad Lindsay who rode Regal Reign the last two times gets on No. 3 Money Makin Mike off a good last work. No. 7 Star Express has had his chances and now Tyler will try and get this gelding home. 2-3-7
